The level of development of a country depends on the development of the technology especially in mechanical engineering development. Bangladesh is a developing country and mechanical engineers are most important for its quick industrial development. A skill Mechanical Engineer, apart from serving in any Govt. or Private Organization, can generate employment by developing his/her own industry.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Duration and assessment:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a 4-year long program consisting of 8 semesters (1 Semester = 6 months). The final and the midterm exams of each semester is conducted under the supervision of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). All the exams question, answer script checking and final results are published by the BTEB. Besides this, each student has to attend the regular class test, quiz test, and semester final project. After successful completion, a student will receive a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Certificate.

Mechanical Engineers are the person behind machinery for manufacturing, maintenance and repairing all types of machinery and appliances. A Mechanical Engineer can serve in the Government and Non-government Industries, Local and Foreign Industries. An enthusiastic mechanical engineer can start his own industry and create employment generation. Mechanical Engineering is the most potential subject of technical education.
ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY:
Minimum SSC equivalent from any discipline with minimum GPA: 2.00 .
HSC (Science) Students can directly join in 3rd Semester and HSC (Vocational) students having GPA 2.00 can directly join in 4th Semester
ADMISION GUIDELINES:
Students are advised to collect admission form the admission office.
Other requirements are:
– 4 copy of recent PP size photo
– Main copy of SSC transcript
– Photocopy of Parent’s NID Card.
– Along with the properly filled in admission form.
